PLANT: Terrestrial tuberous herb.
3 to 5cm high when in flower.

LEAVES: Single leaf, 3 x 3.5cm, often smaller, orbicular to oblong-oval. Usually without any spotting. Distinctly petiolate, though the leaf stem often wraps around the flower stem.

FLOWER: Solitary. Flower usually above the leaf, but occasionally below. 1.5 - 2cm high. Dorsal sepal green, sometimes spotted with red. Labellum broad, translucent green and red, amount of red varies. Both lateral sepals and petals very long, filiform, spreading upward, outward and forward.
Petals almost as long as the lateral sepals.

FLOWERING TIME: July - October.

HABITAT: Very wet moss-covered banks. Montane to sub-alpine.

CONSERVATION STATUS: Not threatened.

NOTES: Previously tagged as Corybas macranthus var longipetalus and Nematoceras longipetalum.
