PLANT: Terrestrial tuberous herb.
Up to 25cm tall.

LEAVES: Usually has 4 stem leaves with acute tips. Approx 6cm x 0.5cm. Margins often wavy.

FLOWER: Single. Green flower tilts forward. Lateral sepals very long, spreading widely either side of the flower, often with slightly curled tips, ends coloured tawny pink. Dorsal sepal tip is short (compared to the lateral sepals), and extends about 8mm past the end of the petal tips. Labellum green with a dark brown central ridge.

FLOWERING TIME: December - January.

HABITAT: Lowland to high montane. Cool high rainfall forests.


NOTES: A recently recognised species. So far recorded from Otira, the South Island West Coast, Fiordland, Bluff, and Stewart Island.
