PLANT: Terrestrial tuberous herb.
Up to 30cm tall. About half the size of true Pterostylis banksii.

LEAVES: Grassy. Usually 4 - 6. Often keeled.

FLOWER: Single. 2.5 - 3cm high. Green with white stripes. Dorsal sepal very long. Petals much shorter than the dorsal sepal. Lateral sepals diverge at a narrow angle, tips very long and erect. Sepal tips often tinged with orange. Resembles a small Pterostylis banksii flower.

FLOWERING TIME:
October - December.

HABITAT: Light forest and scrub.

CONSERVATION STATUS: Not Recorded.

NOTES: Common around Wellington, and apparently found elsewhere.
May be Pterostylis emarginata.
