To 90cm tall, the flowers often green, flushed red purple outside and white within.

With labellum uppermost, margins usually white, showy; sharply bent at middle, callus smooth, flushed pale green, rather narrow and reaching just beyond the bend. Strongly perfumed to many people.

December - February.
Habitat
Sedgelands, in flowing or still water, often floating, its roots barely touching the peat.
Conservation
Uncommon and very local requiring very specific habitat. Classifed as At Risk.
Notes
Several colour forms: Chatham plants are yellow.
