Plant
15-30 mm tall at flowering. Leaves heart-shaped to oblong, 10-15 x 12-20mm.
Flowers
Usually somewhat nodding, at to above the leaf. Dorsal sepal bright apple green capped down over the labellum, occasionally with a central red stripe down back and random red flecks. Labellum midlobe is pale green to colourless, the upper labellum wings maroon, lower edges translucent, rounded to trowel-shaped, weakly cut.
Flowering
August - October.
Habitat
Moist forest floor, and shady manuka. Waikato and Bay of Plenty southwards.

Key features
Trowel-shaped, very pale labellum midlobe and maroon outer to the wings which are pale cream within, and prominent green cap of the dorsal sepal.
