Flowers
Rather knobbly, dark brown to greenish outside, white within. Labellum uppermost, with a black tip visible at the mouth. On dissection transverse ridges can be seen on the back of a very short column.

Lowland to montane forest and common in mature pine plantations. Widespread
Conservation
The most common species, locally numerous, not threatened.
Notes
Tubers may flower irregularly and often peak after disturbance such as a windfall. Pale forms are sometimes found.
